EVENT INFORMATION
WHY: The PeakCO Challenge is a community “FUN”-raiser comprised of events designed for team building. The event raises much-needed funds for the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region.
WHEN: JULY 17, 2010 (SATURDAY)
8:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony
8:15 a.m. All Events Begin
1:00 p.m. (estimate) Closing Ceremony
WHERE:
WHO AND HOW: Businesses, organizations, churches, other groups, and families can join in the fun by:
- Getting a team together and participating in exciting sports challenges
- Volunteering to help with the event (get a free T-shirt and food)
- Being a corporate or individual sponsorDonating in-kind necessities (food, printing, mailing, advertising, etc.)
TEAMS, EVENTS AND FEES: Teams consist of 6-10 people. Round up friends and co-workers from clubs, military bases, businesses, families, or any community organization. Don’t worry about being athletic! Everyone who participates is a winner. Up to 60 teams will have fun in 6 events including: Tug-of-War, Team Chaos, Volleyball and much, much more! There is one GRAND CHAMPION! The coveted PeakCO traveling trophy will be awarded for one year to the overall champion. The current champions proudly display the trophy for a full year until a new victor is crowned. Overall awards will be presented to the 2nd and 3rd place team winners, as well as individual event winners.
SPONSORSHIPS: Sponsors are needed at many levels. Sponsorships offer a great opportunity for public exposure and goodwill. Banners, logos on event materials and media opportunities are just some of the ways you will be recognized as a sponsor. The level of advertising depends on the donation.
VOLUNTEERS: If you want to help, but can’t be a sponsor or part of a team, consider volunteering. Your time and talents will be just as important as any other participant’s in making the PeakCO Challenge successful.
